Depression & Low Mood Counselling

Depression can feel like moving through life with the volume turned down — colours a little duller, energy harder to find, things that used to matter suddenly feeling distant or pointless.

It doesn't always look like sadness. Sometimes it's numbness, irritability, exhaustion, or just a persistent sense of going through the motions. However it shows up for you, counselling offers a way to understand it and start finding your way back.

What Depression Can Feel Like

  • Low energy or motivation, even for things you used to enjoy
  • Feeling flat, numb, or disconnected from yourself and others
  • Changes in sleep or appetite
  • Persistent self-criticism or a sense of not being "enough"
  • A heaviness that makes ordinary tasks feel much harder than they should

How Counselling Can Help

Depression often has roots — in life events, patterns of thinking, or circumstances that have built up over time. Together we'll explore what's contributing to how you're feeling, without judgement or pressure to "snap out of it", and work at a pace that makes sense for you. The goal isn't just to feel less low, but to feel more like yourself again.

You're Not Alone in This

Low mood often travels alongside anxiety, unresolved grief or loss, or the effects of prolonged stress and burnout. If any of these feel like part of your picture too, know that counselling can hold all of it at once — you don't need to separate the threads before we start.
